Red Eye Eyewear has a very exciting recycling program about to launch! The plastic packaging labeled as #5 that contact lenses are stored in, is made from a polymer that most municipalities don’t recycle (usually due to lack of profit). Any contact lens wearer can drop off their contact lens package (i.e. the clear blister pack ) into Red Eye Eyewear. We will save these from going into the landfill and send them to a company in Massachusetts called PRESERVE.

PRESERVE recycles all #5 plastic into household items such as toothbrushes, cutting boards, and colanders. So hold on to your empty contact lens packages and drop them off to us, we will take care of the rest! Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
