News 02/08/2010: Dr. Gifford will be in Honduras providing eye care with International Health Service from Friday 02/12/2010 through 03/01/2010. There will be 2 excellent optometrists filling in for him while he is gone, Dr. Andrea Johnson-Grote and Dr James Bechtold. Please call the office for availability. NEWS 01/25/2010: It was 5 years ago this month that Dr. Gifford took ownership of Red Eye Eyewear! To celebrate we would like to offer 20% off of any complete eyeglass purchase and 10% off any contact lens purchase until February 27th (we're sorry but this only applies to folks without insurance).

NEWS 01/24/2010: The Village of Vision for Haiti Foundation (VVHf), where Dr. Gifford volunteered in December, suffered damage but the children and adults in that Port au Prince community have been reported to be safe from major injuries. Haiti is in dire need of assistance as we all know!

For now we at Red Eye have focused our help toward VVHF.

YOU CAN HELP TOO! 5% of every eyewear purchase made this month will be given directly to the VVHF. We also have an in office donation box so please donate when you visit us. Then, once a week Red Eye will write a check to send to VVHF's "sister office" in Miami, Florida. From there bottled water, baby formula, milk, diapers, medical supplies and other basic necessities will be purchased and sent directly and quickly to the orphanage where they need it desperately! You can also donate directly at their website: Village of Vision for Haiti Foundation. Another reputable affiliate of VVHF where you can donate safely and confidently is: Gryphon Solutions. Finally, if you want to donate items and/or goods you can send them to SOBE EXPORT SERVICES,150 NW 176st Unit C, Miami Gardens, FL 33169.
